Back in September there was a major hubbub around HubSpot’s new hubs.

So many new gadgets and gizmos and features and integrations. There’s no way to keep up, unless you’re the most die-hard of HubSpotters. Comprehension requires a great deal of research, and so far your friends at the Salt Lake City HubSpot User Group have been happy to help.

In the superhero-style origin story of HubSpot, the company looks a bit like Peter Parker.

Skinny (niche focus on smaller businesses and lone marketers), nerdy (endless top-funnel content), and well-intentioned despite urges to lash back against larger bullies.

Then they developed some supernatural powers and over time learned to harness them. From a basic CMS, email and workflow tool, their particular spider bite enhanced their abilities in the form of a CRM, ads, conversational tools, sales and service add-ons.

With all those toys in hand, now HubSpot is Spiderman, swinging around skyscrapers, pulling helicopters out of the sky, hanging out with other big shot superheroes (integrations!).

It’s quite the growth arc!

The only thing more difficult than executing an effective digital marketing campaign is making it to I-15 from Thanksgiving Point in less than 30 minutes.

Seriously, it’s like half a mile to the highway; what’s with the endless traffic?!

SLCHUG can’t help with the shortcuts to the highway, but our friends at SolutionReach probably can.

We can, however, help with the digital marketing stuff.

Or at least some of our smarty pants members can.

#SLCHUG Catches You Up on What You Missed at #Inbound17

As has been the case in recent years, the Inbound conference had a strong contingent of #SLCHUG members in attendance. (We're only slightly bitter about the lack of VIP treatment, but this isn't the place to air those grievances. We won't mention them at all. Because we're so not mad about it. Really.)

Despite having 30+ #SLCHUG members in Boston, we're keenly aware there are dozens more who were stuck at home.

Y'all had to miss out on the great breakouts, product announcements, Michelle O., John Cena (who was quite compelling), Happy Hours at Club Inbound, and more. Total bummer.

COS #SLCHUG Said So! - June 29, 2017 Workshop Recap

Right off the bat, there were two big takeaways from the June 29, 2017 SLCHUG workshop:

  1. A lot of SLCHUGgers have really swaggy offices
  2. The HubSpot Content Optimization System (COS) and its related tools can do a ton for you, whether you know a boatload of code or get dizzy at the faintest hint of HTML

Both points come courtesy of our hosts at SolutionReach, a healthcare patient engagement company in Lehi. Check them out here - and keep the site open, because they put the COS to use in several interesting ways.
